and ...... no baby! ERRR......
So maiden mare Lucky is trying to figure out this whole give birth thing. She's such a sweet girl...but Viki and I are oh so tired.
Somethings in the air at the farm...people are grumpy and getting colds. We actually go through the day not speaking unless it's about the horses. Think everyone is just REALLY tired.
Viki and I are so strapped for time...I was looking at the foals this morning realizing that Piper...the hardest of all the foals this year, has not been handled in a week other then bringing her in and out to eat. She is now pushing her mother around with pinned ears and a little buck if her Mama moves and she doesn't want her to....needs a good spanking!
Two more mares went to the breeding shed yesterday. 6 down 8 to go? I have lost track...thank God for an excel spread sheet and a partner who writes everything down.
Off to feed the second shift of horses. REALLY need to handle the babies today...so I am sure tonight I will be reporting as to how black and blue my feet are! LOL those tiny hooves sure do leave good bruises!
