Moved all the broodmares and foals to the pasture besides the house. Now I can see them all the time....
Little Piper had her first day out in the sunshine.....she is a playful little girl!
The princess Lucie of course wanted to check her out right away....but mama Starlite said "please keep your distance"....Lucie respected her wishes, but still followed from a distance.
Lucie is the greeter of the pasture. Anyone and everyone that walks in MUST pet her. She is all Thoroughbred, yet looks like a well bred welsh pony. Tiny little head, and itty bitty ears....with HUGE brown doe eyes. I never know if I should be insulted when people ask me if she is a welsh....or truly happy that I have such a pretty Thoroughbred.
Need to find a real farm for the chickens. Was all fun and games when they were the size of a twinkie.....now they are the size of a small dog! And they poop everywhere and on anything. Still banned to the horse trailer....not really a good life for them.
Have to go get one of the "forgotten ones" out of the pasture today. Her name is Katy. She is covered in rain rot....and is a chestnut....so it is REALLY bad. They so hate when I have to scrub them. So painful even though we have been soaking it for days in meds.
After Katy....12 more left to treat.
